Here are the technical tips for the video:
1. Film horizontally (turn the camera sideways).
2. Set the phone/camera on a stable surface, several feet away from where you’ll sit or stand.
3. If you’re using a phone to record, please don’t use the front-facing camera setting where you can see yourself, as the sensor is much lower quality than the rear-facing camera.
4. Make sure you are not standing in front of bright light (don’t have a window or bright lamp/light fixture behind you).
5. If possible, try to film inside during the daytime with natural/window light lighting on your face for great, even light.
6. For best audio capture, film indoors with very little noise (turn off fans, music, etc.).
7. Start the video by stating your first/last name, graduation year, etc. This won’t count towards your 30 second time frame! Pause before you begin your message.
